Description
During the past sixteen years, folks have walked, biked, kayaked and canoed into my work…creating scenes I could never have orchestrated. Occasionally, and I must admit without their knowledge, family members became trail art subjects. Nearly half the paintings have captured trail history. Some subjects, like the railcars, have been moved, thus I have "before and after." One wonderful company store was torn down and is part of "things that aren't there anymore."
These watercolors represent my personal reflections of the scenic Youghiogheny River, beginning at Confluence and ending at McKeesport. I've enjoyed the trip and hope you will too.
