Emmet Chesleigh graduated from McKeesport High School in 2024 and is studying History at Penn State University, Altoona campus.  He has lived in McKeesport his entire life and desires to reside here after college.  He is confident that his internship with the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center will help him achieve his future plans of becoming a high school history teacher. Emmet is hopeful this internship experience will further hone his knowledge of the region, thereby providing him with an edge when pursuing a teaching position.  In hopes of gaining fresh insights about McKeesport for his future students, Emmet strives for authentic, practical experiences that will someday guide his classroom teaching. As a past historical reenactor for our Center in last year’s Renzie Ramble, Emmet will be helping us to put together our 2025 Living History Tour taking place in early October at the McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.
