Love Algorithm

Join us as we welcome professor and speaker, Dr. Johnathan White for his program Love Algorithm to celebrate the power of love and strength in African American families and communities.
Dr. White received his B.A. in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University. At the University of Pittsburgh, he earned an M.A. in History with an emphasis in African-American History and Black Literature. His M.A. thesis examined the evolution of black nationalist thought from 1936-1968. His dissertation titled, It Was All a Dream…Pittsburgh’s Musicians Local 471: Collective Memory and Alternate Truths, collected and utilized oral histories to reveal how collective memory re-constructs and re-imagines the past. He is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State Greater Allegheny. He is Co-Director of the Stewart and Jones Scholar-Leadership Program. He is also chair of the campus Anti-Racist and Social Justice committee.
