Liz, a native of Castle Shannon, is a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied European History and Mediterranean Art and Archaeology. While at Pitt she worked as an intern at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland. At Soldiers and Sailors, Liz developed a passion for public history and getting an in depth look at Pittsburgh’s local history.

She specializes in a variety of historical fields and has extensive research skills that she brings to bear at the Heritage Center to assist patrons as well as be a primary point of contact for the office. She is particularly interested in genealogy and has traced her own lineage back to the 14th century.

In her free time, Liz loves to cheer on our Pittsburgh sports teams, read , visit historical sites and events, and fall down historical rabbit holes in the wee hours of the morning. She is also a huge fan of board games and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle connoisseur. Liz can usually be found watching Starz’s Outlander or Discovery’s Expedition Unknown and/or swooning over Netflix’s Bridgerton.
